Intern: Controllership Intern (Summer 2025)

As an intern for Arconic Finance, you will be a valued member of a high-performance team. The purpose of the Internship Program is to introduce students to Arconic through a challenging and rewarding experience which introduces students to the monthly closing process, review of financial statements, financial policy review and approvals, and accounting reviews of specific transactions.
As an intern, candidates will:
Attend orientation where you’ll learn about Arconic’s culture, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of the company
Receive area-specific training designed to help you succeed
Have the opportunity to work on real responsibilities alongside experienced team members
Primary Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and review of public and non-public financial filings
Analyzing monthly financial results and summarizing findings for review by senior management
Preparing ad hoc analysis as requested to support Corporate Financial Accounting projects
Provide oversight, maintain, and update the Arconic accounting policy manual, which is used by both financial and nonfinancial personnel
Managing ongoing relationships with personnel within the Business Units and the Resource Units
Working with our external auditors to ensure appropriate accounting conclusions and strong internal controls are maintained.
Basic Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting.
Must have an expected graduation date in late 2025, or Spring/Summer of 2026
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Possess strong leadership competencies, strong team and analytical skills, strategic thinking skills, dedication and enthusiasm for work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
Ability to communicate effectively, especially as part of a team, and the ability to understand complex business issues.
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required, along with an overall level of expertise in MS Office environments.
Involvement with one or more extracurricular activities, work-study or off-campus jobs, and/or volunteer positions.
